The Hornets feature some of the country’s most well known and respected blues and roots musicians, including ARIA Hall of Fame guitarist Jeff Burstin (Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons, The Black Sorrows), ARIA winning keyboard player Bruce Haynes (Paul Kelly, Renee Geyer, Archie Roach) and author/singer songwriter Craig Horne on vocals and guitar. The Hornets have been described by The Age newspaper as “The best blues band in Melbourne” and the Herald Sun as a band that “demanded attention”. 2021 marks the 25th anniversary of The Hornets and despite COVID and the Melbourne lockdown they’ve managed to write and record a whole new album (their seventh!) which we'll be getting a sneak peek at when they hit TomKatz.
